about

Elaine Allender is a self-taught artist who is interested in the use of texture and colour to create impressionist images on canvas.  She paints harbours, landscapes, meadows and coastlines using an impressionistic style, building each painting up in layers.  Her paintings are sometimes heavily textured, requiring the use of different media to give a sculptural appearance.

She paints from her home in Oxford where it is possible to view her latest work and also exhibits widely in the UK. Her paintings are in private collections in the USA, Australia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Belgium, the UAE and Hungary as well as all over the UK.
